Viewing your holograms on different platforms
Blocks allows you to bring holograms to a whole variety of different platforms, from desktops to tablets, mobile phones and VR headsets.
The internet runs on so many different device. This means your holograms will now be viewable there too! Here's a quick run-down of how Blocks are displayed on different devices.
On your desktop you can hover your mouse over the hologram on Blocks to view it from different perspectives, you can also cast directly to your Looking Glass by clicking the "cast" button. In order to cast you will need a Looking Glass connected in desktop mode.
Try interacting with the hologram below by hovering your mouse button over it. (Aren't embeds neat?)
There are two main ways to interact with Blocks on mobile devices, you can use your finger to wiggle the block from side to side, or you can enable the accelerometer and physically tilt your phone left to right to see the hologram from multiple views.
On iOS devices you'll need to enable a toggle to allow motion controls before they'll work. On android devices this feature should work out of the box, though it may not be possible on some android devices.
Open the individual hologram in the oculus browser, then click the "View in VR" option at the top right of the hologram. This will open up a WebXR session and allow you to view the hologram in stereo 3D. You can even move around and look at it from different angles.
